Now Southern Rail causes delays for CARS after carriage gets stuck at road junction
It’s far from unusual to report that Southern Rail trains have been causing delays yet again.
But now, those delays have gone from the rails to the roads – after a train carriage became stuck at a junction as it was transported on the back of a truck.
Motorists faced delays of up to 15 minutes last night after the truck became stuck at a junction between Westow Street and Central Hill in Crystal Palace, south London shortly after 8.30PM.
In a series of photos posted to social media, users were quick to pick up on the unfortunate irony of the situation.

It’s the latest in a seemingly never-ending slew of incidents for the much maligned train operator – with commuters last week facing what was described as ‘the worst delays in decades’ after drivers staged an industrial walkout.
Southern Rail have been contacted for comment.
