The cheapest choices for last minute all-inclusive holidays have been revealed, with a popular Spanish island taking one of the top spots.

Consumer website Which? named the 10 cheapest all-inclusive deals for a last minute holiday this summer. The cheapest overall was the Morocco destinations of Agadir and Taghazout, found on the west coast of North African country. For a week, an all-inclusive package will set you back £1,041 for a last minute jet-set in August.

But if you want somewhere slightly closer within Europe this summer, the cheapest last minute deal you’ll find is on the party island of Ibiza.

A luxurious all-inclusive trip to the Balearic Island will see holiday makers £1,046 per person for a week’s holiday on average. According to Which?, there’s a range of price points available for tourists, including mid-range and keenly-priced properties from as little as £804pp. TUI’s hotels in Playa Es Cana currently offer the lowest prices.

When it comes to prices, Jet2 currently has availability from Which? Recommended Provider airport, Liverpool John Lennon, while TUI has the lowest-priced holidays remaining from Bristol, Luton, Manchester, Gatwick and Glasgow.

There are a number of ways ‘to do’ Ibiza, whether that’s on your own time or heading out on an excursion. Many tourists head to the island to party, so if you’re looking for an adventure with a twist, that’s definitely on the cards.

One of Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Award winners for the Best of the Best things to do in 2024 is the Ibiza Beach Hopping Cruise with Paddleboards, Drinks and Food run by Float Your Boat. The Ibiza Beach Cruise will set you back £60 for a six-hour trip on a double-decker glass-bottomed catamaran, stopping at Ibiza’s hotspots of Cala Bassa and Cala Conta.

Swim, snorkel, paddle board and dive from the boat to see what lies beneath the crystal-clear waters of the Balearics. For some added excitement, the company also offers a Sunset Boat Party cruise with DJs and a dance floor overlooking enviable views.

Some of the top attractions of Ibiza (aside from partying into the early hours) include Es Vedra, a small rocky island off the south west coast of Ibiza. Or if you’re after relaxation on the beach, Ibiza has plenty of those.

Bask under the sun at sandy hotspots such as Cala Saladeta, Playa S’Arenal Petit, and Cala Comte. Or for a deep dive into Ibizan culture, head to the cobbled streets of Dalt Vila, a Unesco World Heritage Site which was established by the Phoenicians.

Wander through the sixteenth century walls until you reach the elegant fourteenth century hilltop cathedral and millennium-old castle. Lonely Planet recommends exploring the island’s local produce scene at Ibiza Town’s lively nineteenth century Mercat Vell, where you can sample freshly baked bread, Balearic cheeses and fresh flowers.

Other cultural picks include exploring the rustic north side, including Sant Joan de Labritja, Portinatx lighthouse, and swimming spots Port de Ses Caletes, Es Portitxol, and Cala d’Aubarca. To continue your adventure into the night, Ibiza draws thousands of tourists to its shores at top clubbing spots Pacha and Ushuaïa, the latter is open during the day too.

Food and Drink

For foodies, Ibiza offers visitors the chance to get a taste of the Balearics. If you’re looking for something away from the buzz of the clubbing scene, you can find low-key xiringuito (beach bar), where fuss-free grilled-fish platters mingle with Ibizan classics such as bullit de peix (spiced fish stew) and arròs a banda (rich seafood-infused rice), as recommended by Lonely Planet.

Lonely Planet’s picks for this include El Bigotes (on Cala Mastella), Chiringuito de Aguas Blancas (on the east coast), Xiringuito Xuclar (on a secluded northern cove), and Fish Shack (near Ibiza Town). It’s recommended to book and bring cash with you.

Sant Antoni de Portmany boasts a plethora of traveller recommended restaurants, including Sushimi, mixing the flavours of the East and West. Find specialities such as the Su Roll, filled with rice, avocado, sun dried tomatoes, shrimp tempura, spicy mayonnaise, and kataifi; or the Tunake, a roll with rice, fried rucola, shiitake mushrooms, mango, avocado, spicy sauce and mango chutney.

For classic Spanish tapas, Tapas Ibiza in Sant Antoni de Portmany serves dishes with sharing in mind. Think Pimientos de Padrón, Deep Fried Brie, Choricitos, and Balsamic & Chilli Glazed Octopus.

You can also delve into the world of Ibizan wines at Can Rich near Sant Antoni, which also produces olive oil. Spanning over twenty hectares of vineyards and 3,000 olive trees, Can Rich produce wines embodying the uniqueness of the land and climate of Ibiza.
