Liverpool head to Russia looking for their first victory in the Champions League proper since September 2014.

The Reds were reduced to 10 men as they drew with Sevilla at Anfield on their return to Europe's premier competition and will hope to follow Saturday's victory at Leicester with three points.

Liverpool met Spartak in the group stages of the Champions League in 2002/03 and emerged victorious both home and away.

Tuesday's hosts have won just three of their 11 domestic league games this season and drew their Group E opener 1-1 with Maribor earlier this month.
