A spate of burglaries in the West Dorset area are believed to be linked, according to police.

On Friday, March 31 Dorset Police believe entry was gained to a building site on Frome Lane in Frome Vauchurch and a number of power tools had been stolen.

Officers are appealing witnesses or anyone with information to come forward regarding the incident.

An investigation has also been launched into other break-ins to a barn and a shepherd’s hut that occurred in the same area between Tuesday, March 26 and Saturday, April 1.

It is believed these incidents may be linked.

Police Constable Jack White, of West Dorset police, said: “We are conducting a number of enquiries into these incidents, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during the relevant time period, to please contact us.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may come across any power tools being offered for sale locally in suspicious circumstances.”
