GUEST speakers are heading to Ventnor next month for the latest instalment of the Future Works event, as part of this year’s Ventnor Fringe Festival.

Running between 12pm and 2pm on Tuesday, July 23, at Flowersbrook Inn, the event is aimed at 16 to 30-year-olds.

Created by Creative Island in collaboration with Brave Island, Platform One and the IW Creative Network, industry professionals will discuss various topics around starting a creative career, with a focus on events, festivals and performances.

You can book a free ticket on the Ventnor Exchange website here.

Guest speakers this year include writer and actor Joe Bone, Ventnor Exchange creative projects manager Megan Stisted, and Wonderfell Theatre Company creative director Vicky Wells.

"If you’re aged 16-30 and want to start a band but don’t know a drummer, want to write a play but don’t know any actors, or you want to film a showreel but don’t know a filmmaker, come along to Future Works,” said a spokesperson for the event.

Joe Bone was signed by United Agents in 2012, kick-starting his TV and film career, acting on-screen in Castles in the Sky, Endeavour, Six minutes to Midnight, Tom and Jerry the Movie, Beyond Paradise and more recently, the Netflix smash-hit Baby Reindeer. (Image: Contributed)
