Specsavers offering fans free tickets to Communities Cup match

Specsavers in Oak Mall Shopping Centre is offering a free ticket giveaway for Morton FC's pre-season friendly against St Mirren this month.

The giveaway is being hosted by the Greenock outlet, the official sponsor of the Communities Cup.

There are 25 free tickets available for customers who visit the store before the match, set to kick off at 7.45pm on July 8 at Cappielow.

The sponsorship is part of the store's ongoing efforts to support local football clubs like the Greenock Morton Women's team and junior football leagues throughout the year.

Any Morton FC fan can grab up to two free tickets for the much-anticipated Renfrewshire derby by simply asking a team member at Specsavers in Greenock.

Megan Brown, store director at Specsavers Greenock, said: "We’re once again thrilled to be involved in such an exciting game to warm up ahead of the big season kick-off later this summer.

"The local community always gets so excited for the local derby against St Mirren so it’s great that we’re able to offer football fans the chance to enjoy the big game."

However, the store director cautioned fans, saying: "'Tickets in store are very limited and on a first come, first serve basis, so we urge anyone looking for a fun-filled evening at the football to pay us a visit and enquire about tickets.'"
