Spectacular Sunset Bathes San Francisco in Red and Yellow

A spectacular sunset bathed the San Francisco skyline in red and yellow on Wednesday, April 17.

Photographer Shreenivasan Manievannan captured this spectacular timelapse footage showing the sun passing behind the Salesforce Tower and other buildings in the city before disappearing.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the gorgeous sunset on Wednesday was caused by a high-pressure system known as “dirty ridge.” Credit: Shreenivasan Manievannan via Storyful
