Spice Girls tour: Geri Horner goes Ginger again for the big reunion

Geri Horner has returned to her red locks ahead of the Spice Girls reunion tour which kicks off this week.

Horner and her bandmates Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton start their short tour on Friday when they play Croke Park in Dublin.

To mark the occasion, Horner decided it was time to go back to her Ginger Spice, telling fans she was “scared”.

“I haven’t had ginger hair for over 20 years I think,” Horner said in an Instagram video as she sat waiting for the colour to take. “I’m a bit scared!” she added.

Alongside the snaps, she wrote: “#ad Ginger is back! Thanks to @lorealhair. Preference shade 74 Mango. #Spiceworld2019 #girlpower #worthit #HouseofGinger.”

Fans were beside themselves with excitement at Horner’s dramatic makeover, calling her “more gorgeous than ever”.

“Omgggg!! This makes me so happy,” added somebody else, while others hailed Horner a “queen”.

On Sunday, Horner rubbished claims of a rift within the band in the aftermath of Brown claiming to have shared a night of passion with her decades ago.

“No one is perfect but it’s all fine. We’re having a blast. It’s an absolute laugh,” she told The Sun. “Our relationship is really good. We’ve all been really positive, so it’s nice. It’s natural. I’m really happy, everyone’s happy.”

After Brown’s tell-all interview with Piers Morgan – which airs this weekend – Horner denied all reports of a tryst with a short statement about the “hurtful” claims.

It read: “It has been very disappointing to read about all these rumours again, especially on Mother’s Day of all days.

“Geri loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria [Beckham]. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family.

“Moving forward, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.”

The Spice Girls tour kicks off tomorrow in Dublin before shows in Cardiff, Manchester and Sunderland. They will headline London’s Wembley Stadium at the close of the tour next month.
