Spider-Man star Tom Holland records message to boy hit by police van
The Marvel movie star told 11-year-old Tom he had 'the coolest name' and sent him 'positive vibes'.
Spider-Man star Tom Holland has recorded a special video message for an 11-year-old boy recovering after being stuck by a police van.
Thomas, 11, was been in a critical condition in hospital after he was hit by police responding to a 999 call in Lancaster at 8.30pm on Thursday 25 May.
A Facebook page titled You Can Do It Tom has been set up to to share messages of support for the boy as he remains on the High Dependency Unit at Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's hospital.

Holland, 27, is among the celebrities to have recorded videos for Tom.
The Marvel star said: "Hi Tom, it's Tom. Let me start off by saying you've probably got the coolest name out there. Your parents mad a great choice.
"I'm sending you a video because I want you to know that I am thinking about you.
"I am sending you positive vibes and I hope you can be strong and we are all looking forward to speaking to you soon."
His family said: "Superhero Tom Holland has taken the time to send our very own little Superhero a message of support. Tom had a challenging day yesterday but we know you can do it Tom!"
Other famous faces to share messages include Emmerdale star James Hooton, aka Sam Dingle, BBC sports presenter Mike Bushell, boxer Tyson Fury, football stars Dion Dublin and Gary Neville, TV presenter Jeremy Kyle, Martin Hancock who played Spider in Coronation Street and CBBC's Hacker T. Dog.
His family revealed: "Tom is doing well and responding at times. We've played some of the videos and his eyes lit up, especially when Gary Neville's clip was played. Thanks to everyone for their support and to the wonderful Alder Hey staff."
After being hit by the police van Tom was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary before being transferred to Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's hospital.
He was on life support for several days, and though out of a coma remains in a High Dependency Unit.
His family said: "Until he fully wakes up we won't know Tom's long term outlook, only that it'll be a very long road ahead for him.
"The aim of this page is to flood it with celebrity videos, surrounded by positive messages of support from the community. We're hoping that when Tom eventually wakes up, he'll be able to see, hear and read the various messages to help motivate and inspire him on the long road ahead.
"Thanks to all of the celebs who have taken the time to help and send us video clips... You can do it Tom!"

Lancaster Police Force has launched an investigation into the collision and referred itself to police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
