St Mirren will kick-off the new William Hill Premiership season at home to Hibernian.

The match is a reversal of the opener last term when the Buddies secured a late 3-2 victory at Easter Road.

The SPFL published its full fixture list for the top flight as well as the Championship, League One and League Two this morning.

Saints – who have already sold more than 4,000 season tickets – will host the Edinburgh giants on Sunday, August 4 as they are in UEFA Conference League action on Thursday, August 1.

Stephen Robinson’s men will be facing either FC Valur of Iceland or Albania’s FK Vllaznia Shkoder at the SMiSA Stadium as the club ends a 37-year European drought.

Hibs, now under the permanent management of David Gray, will roll up at Greenhill Road having already competed in the group stage of the Premier Sports Cup where their opponents are Elgin City, Queen’s Park, Kelty Hearts and Peterhead.

After the Hibees, Robbo’s troops will travel to the north-east to face Jimmy Thelin’s Aberdeen on Saturday, August 10 – although this match would be put back 24 hours if Saints’ Euro adventure continued.

Champions Celtic will visit the SMiSA on Saturday, August 24 before the opening month of the campaign is rounded off with a trip to Dundee on Saturday, August 31.

There are three pre-split midweek evening matches scheduled at home to St Johnstone on Wednesday, October 30, Hearts on Wednesday, December 4 and away to the Jambos on Wednesday, February 26.

While there is no winter break this season, there will still be a busy December for the Buddies who are set to play six matches in the space of 26 days – although four of them are at the SMiSA.

A long trek to Ross County the Saturday before Christmas, December 21, is planned before a Boxing Day visit of Rangers.

Dundee will visit Paisley to bring the curtain down on 2024 and there is sure to be a huge black-and-white army support heading to Kilmarnock on January 2 to begin 2025.

Saints’ final pre-split fixture is at home to County as they bid for three consecutive top-half Premiership finishes.

The weekends of Saturday, August 17 and Saturday, September 21 have been reserved for the second round and quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup, respectively.

The opening weekend of the Premiership season will be played across three days with Motherwell’s home game against Ross County the only fixture scheduled for the traditional Saturday 3pm slot.

Four of the six matches will be shown live on Sky Sports with Rangers’ trip to Hearts at 12.30pm on the Saturday getting the campaign underway.

There is a telly double-header on the Sunday with Dundee United and Dundee locking horns on City of Discovery derby day at 1.30pm and Kilmarnock visiting Celtic later in the afternoon at 4.30pm.

New Dons boss Thelin will be a star of the small screen as Aberdeen head to McDiarmid Park to face St Johnstone for an 8pm showdown on the Monday night.

Visit www.spfl.co.uk for all of the fixtures across all four divisions.

Meanwhile, the Saints squad has been sweating it out in the sunshine on the first full day of their Spanish training camp in Murcia.
