Stacey Dooley forced to leave The One Show set during live interview

Alex Jones and Roman Kemp hosted Thursday's episode of The One Show, welcoming guests such as documentary-maker Stacey Dooley and actress Celia Imrie.

Stacey, the 37 year old Strictly Come Dancing champion, shared insights into her new role in the West End production of 2:22 A Ghost Story, where she plays Jenny.

During the show, Roman probed Stacey about her character, leading her to describe Jenny as a woman teetering on "the edge of an existential crisis".

"She's just had a baby," Stacey detailed. "The baby is still on the boob. She's knackered. It's all going on."

Stacey added, "I thought you know what? If I can try anything, I can try this..." This revelation follows the birth of her first child, daughter Minnie, with partner Kevin Clifton last year, reports the Express.

However, their conversation was cut short when Roman announced that Stacey needed to leave promptly for her evening stage performance.

"In fact, we can't keep you long. I'm being told now, you're on stage in about 40 minutes... and your bike. You've got a motorbike taking you there," he said.

Stacey responded with a laugh, "How showbiz is this Roman?" Roman then gestured towards a motorbike helmet, saying, "We need to get this on you,". As Stacey made a swift exit from the set, Roman encouraged her with "Go, go, go," while Alex wished her "Break a leg."
