Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash: Their love story from I'm A Celeb to baby number three

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s relationship has swelled the hearts of fans across the UK ever since they were first rumoured to be together.

Separately presenters in their own right, the couple appeared to be the perfect match, and ever since they’ve been building a life and home together.

As they prepare to welcome their third baby together, here’s a full rundown of their relationship from first meeting to baby number three.

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash’s love story in 12 parts

When King met his Queen: In 2010, Solomon entered I’m A Celeb, and became a beloved household name. Beating Shaun Ryder, she burst into tears as she won. There with a hug, and a crown, was Swash — who won in 2009 and was part of the presenting team. It was their first meeting.

Rumour has it: The pair started dating in 2015, following Solomon’s 2014 split from fiancé Aaron Barnham. They kept it secret for the first few months, but confirmed their romance in Jan 2016. In July, Solomon said: "Things have gone really, really well. I feel really lucky."

(More) rumours have it: The duo became inseparable, and were soon sharing the screen on the I’m A Celeb spin-off. Engagement rumours soon swirled. But ultimately all talk was false. However, in Oct 2018, the couple confirmed they’d moved in together.

Baby on board: In February 2019, the pair announced they were expecting their first child together, fourth overall. Solomon already had sons Zachary (born 2008) and Leighton (born 2010) from previous relationships, while Swash also had son Harry (born 2007) with ex Emma Sophocleous.

Welcome Rex: The couple welcomed son Rex prematurely on 23 May, 2019. Loose Women later read out a letter that read: "I was so looking forward to my baby shower today, I'm gutted I can't be there”. She joked she'd be back "when she can put normal pants on and walk normally again".

Trouble in paradise: While they seemed happy online, the pair hit a rocky patch after Rex's birth, as Solomon was so protective of the tot. On her podcast, she conceded: "If I had a baby and my partner didn't want me anywhere near that baby, I would have really struggled."

She said 'yes': Solomon and Swash delighted fans when they got engaged in December 2020. "Today we went for a walk in the woods... Like we always do. But it didn't look the same...” Solomon said. "And Joe with our boys, in my favourite place in the world... He asked me to marry him."

Welcome to Pickle Cottage: In March 2021, the couple bought their “forever home”, which they’ve dubbed Pickle Cottage. Solomon has been renovating it since, becoming a home and lifestyle influencer in the process due to her cleaning habits and design style.

A new arrival: In June 2021, they announced they were expecting their Baby #2. Solomon wrote: “We didn't think we would get the chance. We love you all to the moon and back.” They later revealed the news came after several miscarriages. In July, they confirmed it would be a girl.

An English Rose: On 4 October, 2021 – Solomon’s birthday – baby Rose arrived in a home birth at Pickle Cottage.

“We all love you more than you could ever imagine. Your brothers, your daddy and I are so in love,” Solomon shared. “Thank you for the most incredible 9 months."

'I do': Solomon and Swash finally married on the grounds of their home in 24 July, 2022. The pair had an intimate and quiet ceremony, with all their children and loved ones present. It was a Jewish ceremony, in line with Solomon’s heritage, and paid tribute to their late fathers.

A surprise addition: On 27 December, 2022, the couple surprised everyone by announcing they were pregnant with their third child. They admitted it was a surprise to them too, as the pregnancy was already several months gone when they found out. The baby’s due in February 2023.
