Stacey Solomon asks 'where has the time gone' as fans rush to respond to emotional family update

Stacey Solomon was left asking 'where has the time gone' as she was left emotional while marking a fresh family milestone. The Loose Women star was celebrating on Thursday (May 23) as she marked her son's fifth birthday.

Birthday boy Rex was Stacey and her husband Joe Swash's first child they had together back in 2019. The couple have since gone on to welcome two more children into the world - daughters Rose and Belle - while also being a big blended family with Stacey's two sons - Zachary and Leighton - and Joe's son Harry from previous relationships.

But this time it was all about Rex and taking to her Instagram Story, Stacey shared a video of herself and a then newborn Rex and said: "23.05.2019. How have 5 years gone by since this moment? Omg feels like yesterday." She added: Tap to skip five years," before teasing some new snaps.

"Happy birthday our darling Rexy," the mum-of-five typed as she declared she'd uploaded a new post to her main Instagram grid in view of her millions of followers. "Where has the time gone..." she added with a single tear emoji.

Her main post saw Stacey and Joe posing outside their home, named Pickle Cottage, with Rex in the middle of them both sitting on the gate. The trio of pictures saw the two parents beaming with pride while Rex also gave his best and biggest smiles for the camera.

Alongside the adorable photos, Stacey, 34, wrote: "Happy Birthday Rexy. Five whole years of loving you. Where on earth has that gone darling boy? Feels like yesterday you were born & our lives changed forever in the bestest way."

The Sort Your Life Out host went on to gush over her youngest son as she said: "You are the kindest, most caring little pickle and you bring us so much joy every single day. To the moon and back Rexy." And it didn't take her fans and followers long to respond to the post.
