Stacey Solomon shares picture of new baby's face and appears to let gender slip

Stacey Solomon has apparently let slip her new baby's gender as she shared a baby scan image of its face on social media.

The Loose Women star – who recently revealed she is pregnant with her fifth child, due in January 2023 – told her 5.5 million Instagram followers that she and husband Joe Swash had been discussing the new sonogram picture of their baby's face, and referred to it as "he".

Solomon, 33, said: "Me and Joe are sitting here having a full blown discussion about whose lips the baby has got. Because yesterday we got to go and see baby for the scan and the sonographer lady was so incredible that she got the most amazing picture of its mouth and nose.

"And Joe thinks its got his mouth and I think he’s got my mouth. He’s got my lips."

Posting a picture of the baby's face she said: "How incredible. That beautiful face... we can't wait to see you baby... This little one looks so different from all of my other scans. But whose lips are those?"

The TV presenter and former EastEnders actor Swash, 41, surprised their fans on 28 December with the announcement that she is eight months pregnant.

Solomon said: "Coming soon… Much sooner than we thought.

"When we found out we still wanted to have that first few months you usually would to adjust and get excited and enjoy it to ourselves, but that didn’t leave us with very long left.

"So this time next month we will be getting ready to say hello to a whole new pickle. So grateful. While we had some time off we thought we better take some memories before it’s too late."

Thanking fans for their congratulations she admitted she is feeling "nervous" about the birth.

She said "I can't believe we are having another baby! We are soooo excited… I'm nervous for my noon! But so so excited."

The couple are co-parents to Swash's son Harry, 15, Solomon's sons Zachary, 14, and Leighton, 10, from two previous relationships, as well as three-year-old son Rex and one-year-old daughter Rosie.

Swash and Solomon first met Solomon in 2010 when she won ITV jungle reality show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! which the soap star had won in 2008.

But it was in 2016 when they worked together on spin-off show I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! NOW! that they entered into a romantic relationship.

They became engaged on Christmas Eve 2020 and married at their home Pickle Cottage in Essex on 25 July 2022.
