Stacey Solomon says 'grown together' in emotional family update

Stacey Solomon was left “crying” as she shared an emotional family update with her eldest child. The Loose Woman star has revealed that son Zachary headed off to his prom as he left secondary school.

Stacey was 17 when she welcomed Zachary into the world, just a few years before she shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009. The TV star has told how she feels like she and Zachary have 'grown together'.

Taking to Instagram, Stacey shared a video to her Instagram Story, where she could be seen blowing up balloons with helium, which spelt 'PROM'.

Alongside the clip, Stacey wrote: "Today has been a very emotional day. Honestly, I don't know where the years have gone. School is over and it's Zachary's prom [crying emoji]." In a follow-up post, Stacey shared how she'd hosted a few of the parents of her son's friends. She wrote: "I had the mums and dad over to see the boys off to prom. It was so lovely. But I think we were all crying.”

In her final post, Stacey then took to her main Instagram grid and shared a string of photos alongside her 16-year-old son before he headed off to celebrate with his friends. Alongside the post, the emotional mum wrote: "My baby just went to prom. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way. My Zachary, has finished his GCSEs, left school, started his first job and is off to his prom.

"Zach you are the best thing that ever happened to me. We’ve grown up together. I just can not believe how that time has flown by. Go and have the best night ever. You deserve it my darling. I’ll be on stand by for the after party pick up. To the moon and back Zachary."

She added: "I'm sorry but how handsome," alongside a string of varying crying and tearful emojis. "I'm so proud of you Zach. I love you so much. I can't believe this is it. School is done. Now it's time to find out who you are. To the moon and back.”
