Stacey Solomon has opened up about her unique way of engaging with her devoted online community, revealing that she treats her social media followers like close friends and even sends voice notes to some, despite never having met them.

The popular television personality also shared how she turns to her Instagram supporters for compliments on her home organisation skills, as her partner Joe and their children rarely acknowledge her efforts.

Stacey, 34, expressed her views, saying: "I don't think of social media as social media. I genuinely think of it as like a WhatsApp group. That sounds really weird, but I message people back and sometimes I voice note people forgetting that I don't know these people. And they're like, oh my gosh, I can't believe you just voice noted me."

She continued: "I forget that. It's a community of people and they're just sort of watching casually. I genuinely feel like it's a group of mates and I think that's what I want my social media for."

"I think I feel social media is what I've always wanted in like a friendship group. I mean, I've got a couple of mates like real life ones, but this feels like a big family to me. And I love being on there, that is the nice thing.", reports the Mirror.

Stacey further explained the sense of accomplishment she gets from interacting with her followers: "I enjoy checking in with people coming in. Also, I'll get real pride out of tidying my kitchen and being like I have tidied my kitchen and people going 'it looks great'. You don't get that at home do you? No one says 'Good job well done'. So that probably sounds really narcissistically self centred, but it's a great bit of self validation for the very little things in life."

During a session at the Advertising Week Europe conference in London, it was revealed that ITV presenter Stacey Solomon's influence had a significant impact on one business' fortunes overnight.

Rehab Hair shared how their website traffic skyrocketed to 200,000 visitors within 24 hours after Stacey joined the company and began promoting them on social media. The brand also experienced a surge in demand, going from ordering 1,000 units of products to needing "tens of thousands" and having to relocate to a larger warehouse space to accommodate this.

Stacey humbly attributed the success primarily to the quality of the products. She said: "I love being involved in everything. I am a control freak. I enjoy design meetings and talking about where we are going to go and how we are going to get there. I love being involved in Rehab and you can do so much more when you are on a level with the brand."

"It comes down to the product and when you have an audience that trusts you and if the product looks really good and the benefits are there for people to see then it will fly. They say it's down to me but it is what you are offering as well."

Stacey, who is now arguably the queen of DIY TV with BBC's Sort Your Life Out and new Channel 4 series Renovation Rescue, was reported by the Mirror earlier this month to be happiest when she is at home on the sofa with husband Joe and their children Zachary, 15, Leighton, 11, Rex, three, Rose, two, and Belle, one.

Stacey Solomon gushes about the joy of coming home, stating: "I love coming home. My favourite part of the day is getting excited about coming home to Pickle cottage where I live with my husband Joe Swash and five kids. Actually my favourite thing in the world is getting on the sofa."
