Stagecoach have announced a number of changes to Cambridgeshire's busway network. The new services are due to come into effect on Sunday, May 19.

The changes follow the re-opening of the southern section of the Busway track between Trumpington and Cambridge Railway Station. It is hoped that this will account for the growing passenger demand in the area.

Two new services are being introduced alongside the busway's A service. These will provide a combined ten-minute frequency between Trumpington Park and Ride and Addenbrooke's Hospital from Monday to Friday.

The new H service will operate between Trumpington Park & Ride and Addenbrooke’s Hospital during morning peak times. The new R service will operate between Trumpington Park & Ride and Cambridge station.

Extra resources are to be added during the morning peak to provide greater capacity between St Ives and Cambridge. This means that routes A and B will provide a combined ten minute frequency along the main section of the guided busway track between the two areas.

Route B from Hinchingbrooke Hospital is also being extended to serve Long Road Sixth Form College from Monday to Friday on select times. These journeys will also replace the current C service.

People are being advised to check updated timetables for specific journeys. More information can be found here.
