If you ever watched Gene Wilder’s Willy Wonka as a child, you probably dreamed of living in a house made entirely of edible sweets and chocolate.

Well, now you can. For a night at least.

Artisan chocolatier Jean-Luc Decluzeau has created a cottage made entirely of chocolate – 1.5 tons of chocolate in fact – and is inviting guests to stay for a night.

The cottage can accommodate up to four guests per night – but there will only be two nights that are available to book.

Guests will be able to stay in the cottage, located in glass house L’Orangerie Ephémère in the gardens of the Cité de la Céramique in Sèvres, France on October 5 and 6 and bookings for these nights will be available on Booking.com at 10am GMT on September 19 and 26 respectively.

Bookings cost just £45 and will include a workshop with Decluzeau crafting personalised mini chocolate chalets.

If you are one of the lucky guests, you will experience custom chocolate details such as a chocolate chandelier, chocolate fireplace, books, dresser, cups and, of course, the walls will also be made out of chocolate. What’s more is many of these items are edible and will be available to eat for the guests who stay the night (and will be replenished before the next night’s guests).

The chocolate madness extends to outside the cottage as well where a white chocolate duck pond and intricate flowerbed will also be crafted completely out of chocolate.
