McGovern praised the "brilliant" fire station staff who helped remove the ring after she trapped her finger in a door at her home.
Responding to a question from a fan, she added: "The door closed on my whole hand and squashed the ring. Then that’s what caused the swelling. The ring was suddenly too tight."

The source added: "Everyone was so lovely. It made a change from getting cats out of trees and, well, fighting fires."
