Steve Aoki: 'Louis Tomlinson's debut solo album will 'blow people's minds'

When Louis Tomlinson teamed up with Steve Aoki for his debut solo single ‘Just Hold On’ at the end of last year, we knew that we were witnessing the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

From their first X Factor performance to now, Steve and Louis have remained close friends and are constantly supporting one another – with Steve regularly promoting Louis’ other work.

Now the EDM superstar has gushed about Louis’ impending solo album, teasing fans that it is going to be seriously epic.

Speaking about collaborating with the One Direction star in the future, Steve told The Sun: “We’ve been talking about doing future music as well and we always try and figure out time between schedules. Plus he’s crushing it with Back to You. I love that track.

“I think he’s going to blow people away with his new album. His album’s incredible.

“I’ve heard some songs and everyone is just mind blowing to me.

“All I can tell you is they make me feel something incredibly human.”

Needless to say, we couldn’t be more excited.

Steve’s comments come shortly after he and Louis won the Choice Music Collaboration gong at the Teen Choice Awards last weekend, with Louis paying sweet tribute to his friend after the ceremony.

Posting on Instagram, Louis gushed: “Me and Steve won the best collaboration award and that’s unbelievable. I just want to thank everyone for their continued support.

“And obviously a massive thanks to Steve, what a legend you are. Thank you very much.”

So far Louis’ bandmate, Harry Styles, is the only member of One Direction to release a full solo album, although all four of the boys have enjoyed huge success in their individual music ventures.
