Stormy Weather Shrouds New York Skyline as Nor'easter Hits East Coast

New York City residents awoke to heavy rainfall and flash flooding on Tuesday, October 26, as a nor’easter swept the tri-state area.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch for the tri-state region throughout Tuesday, forecasting up to 6 inches of rainfall in some areas.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the storm had dropped 2.73 inches of rain in Central Park, while Newark received 3.08 inches and LaGuardia airport in Queens tallied 2.15 inches, according to the National Weather Service.
