It's recently been pushed forward, so it's only fair that we've been given a brand new teaser for the long-awaited second season of Stranger Things.

The sad (and somewhat strange) news is, it doesn't really reveal much – apart from the fact that the door "is still open".

The good news is, fans can probably expect to see a full-length trailer when the show has its panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Which is, y'know, very soon.

Netflix's smash hit love letter to all things horror and '80s will kick off on October 27, when we'll finally find out what the people of Hawkins are battling this time.

Stranger Things' second outing is set to pick up one year on from Will Byers' (Noah Schnapp) disappearance and his subsequent rescue from the Upside Down.

But while we can expect to see some new faces enter the fold – including a brand new monster – history is set to repeat itself for poor Will.

"Something happens to Will in the first couple of episodes that's very, very disturbing," actor Finn Wolfhard recently teased.

"[His friends] know he is not well," co-star Gaten Matarazzo added. "But they are just trying to pretend [nothing] happened."

To kill some time before the full trailer for Stranger Things finally drops, why not peruse all our theories and the questions we're still asking right here.
