Streatham crash: Firefighters cut roof off car during dramatic rescue after smash on busy south London road
Firefighters cut the roof off a car in a dramatic rescue after a crash on a busy road in south London.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the collision in Mitcham Lane in Streatham just before 10am on Monday morning.
Police, paramedics and firefighters were all called to the scene after the smash, which involved two cars.
Photos posted on social media showed one of the cars with its roof completely removed after firefighters used heavy cutting gear to rescue the occupants.

They also showed the other car which appeared to have crashed straight through a fence and into a front garden.
One man was rushed to a south London hospital after the collision at the junction with Conyers Road, police said.

His condition is not believed to life threatening.
A large swathe of the road was cordoned off for several hours after the incident.
