Yahoo News Søstrene Grene to open first North East shop in Newcastle's Eldon Square
Eldon Square's former Lakeland unit is soon to be home to the North East's first Søstrene Grene.
Following recent store openings in Sheffield and York, the Danish homewares retailer is preparing to open a new shop in Newcastle this summer as part of its continuing UK expansion.
Søstrene Grene has over 285 stores worldwide specialising in affordable, Scandi-inspired designs in a wide variety of homewares, soft furnishings, kitchen products, furniture, gifts, crafts and children's toys. The brand aims to open 100 stores in the UK by 2030 and reach 500 stores globally by 2027.

The brands shopping concept, 'Retail for the Senses', promises a unique sensory experience with its iconic wooden crate, labyrinth-style layout, alongside serene lighting and classical background music.
