Strictly Come Dancing 2015′s Helen George Splits From Husband Oliver Boot

Strictly Come Dancing’s Helen George, who plays Nurse Trixie Franklin in the wonderful Call The Midwife, has split from her husband, it’s been confirmed.

The show doesn’t return to our TV screens until Saturday, but the ‘curse of Strictly’ is already being bounded around, despite the fact that Helen’s rep said their split was decided a while ago.

Confirming that the 31-year-old actress and her actor husband Oliver Boot are no longer together, her spokesman told The Mirror: “I can confirm that Helen separated from her husband some time ago.”

The two met on the set of BBC drama Hotel Babylon, and married in December 2012.

When asked if she was single at yesterday’s launch, she, understandably, refused to answer.

Helen looked gorgeous in her new Strictly sparkles as she joined her fellow celebrity ballroom wannabees on the red carpet to officially kick off this year’s series.

Joining the professional dancers (including a couple of newbies), the judges, and hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the celebrities looked like they were having an absolute ball.

Not that we’re jealous or anything.

Newly engaged Janette Manrara and fiancé Aljaz Skorjanec looked seriously loved-up as they took to the red carpet, while Peter Andre looked right at home in the middle of the eight professional female dancers.

Well, he is the bookies favourite to win.

The series returns to BBC One this Saturday at 7.15pm, and it’s safe to say we’re ridiculously excited to have it back on our TV screens.
