Strictly Come Dancing’s Danny John-Jules ‘drops out of grand final’ days after bullying accusations

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Danny John-Jules has reportedly vowed not to appear on the show again after he was accused of bullying his partner.

The 58-year-old actor supposedly told the BBC that he has no intention to return to the dance show when it wraps up next month.

A source told The Sun: “Danny is done with the show and has told bosses he won't be appearing on the show finale, when all the former contestants usually return.

"He's really unhappy with how he's been treated and has told them he won't be back. Nobody knows if he'll show up for the final show.”

A spokesperson for Strictly Come Dancing told Standard Online: “Every year all of our celebrities are invited back for the grand final at the end of the series. This year is no different and we look forward to reuniting them all once more.”

Representatives for John-Jules have been contacted.

John-Jules was shown the door during Sunday night's results show, days after reports of a row with his professional dance partner Amy Dowden.

He skipped his scheduled appearance on Strictly spin-off It Takes Two on Monday night leaving Dowden on her own.

Ball told viewers: "I am afraid that Danny has decided not to join us tonight."

Dowden said being on the BBC One competition was a dream job and despite being eliminated, she is a "glass is always half full" type of person.

She said: "We did some amazing performances - the first 10 of the series, my first 10! That's something I will never forget.

"It's a dream job and I'm just very very lucky to have had the opportunity."
