'Strictly Come Dancing' viewers can't look away from Tess Daly's boots

Strictly Come Dancing viewers claim they are being put off watching this week's dances because they are so distracted by host Tess Daly's dress and boots combination.

The presenter walked out on stage for tonight's live show wearing a hot pink midi dress with a pair of knee-high black boots that some viewers said looked totally incongruous.

Commenting on the outfit, one viewer tweeted: "I can't concentrate on the dances as I'm just thinking about how wrong the dress/boots combo is on Tess tonight."

Someone else agreed: "I’m really not getting the boots and dresses Tess is wearing."

Another person wrote: "Every time I see Tess my eyes get drawn to those terrible terrible ghastly boots. Her dresser needs sacking."

This is not the first time that Daly has presented the BBC One show in a dress and boots, but it has not proved a popular combination with fans of the show.

One person tweeted: "Seriously, what does Tess's dresser have against her? Constantly putting ugly a** boots with a nice dress."

Someone else wrote: "I know I’m no Gok Wan but I’m judging Tess Daily’s boots with that pink dress."

Another person added: "OMG, Tess is usually so elegant, what went wrong tonight? Those boots really don’t work with that dress."

Continuing the criticism, one viewer tweeted: "Did Tess forget her shoes tonight?! You just don't wear knee high black boots with a pink midi dress!!!"

Someone else wrote: "With all the make up and dressers behind the scenes why is Tess wearing those awful boots!!"

Other compared the boots to a pair of wellies, with one person commenting: "Looks like she's forgot her shoes and had to go on in her wellies."

Someone else agreed: "Is it me or does Tess look like she has a pair of black Wellington boots on?"

However, another viewer was more distracted by Tyler West's topless costume for his Paso Doble, writing: "Never mind Tess's boots, what is he nearly wearing."
