It's been a memorable weekend for Strictly Come Dancing professional Kevin Clifton, who won the Glitterball Trophy with partner Stacey Dooley. For Kevin, victory was sweet indeed, as it was his first ever, after four previous appearances in the final.

The significance of his big win was not lost on his sister Joanne, who posted a heartwarming snap on Instagram to celebrate. She had already tasted success on the show during her stint as a professional, winning the 2016 edition with TV presenter Ore Oduba.

The picture features an adorable snap of Kevin and Joanne as kids with dance trophies underneath side by side pictures of Kevin and Stacey and Joanne and Ore.

She captioned it, "WE DID IT MUM AND DAD ! ❤️ @keviclifton ..... Thankyou @sjdooley and @oreodubaofficial ❤️"

Ore joined in the love-fest, commenting: "To be an extended member of this family means everything to me. Talent comes out the taps in your house!!! Cliftons forever xxx."

He also posted a picture of Kevin and Stacey with the trophy, writing: "If I could jump through the telly and hug this man like he hugged @realjoanneclifton two years ago 🙏 no one has given more to @bbcstrictly in six years than @keviclifton, I’m so so happy for one of the most talented, creative, and determined people I know."

Just warms your cockles, doesn't it?

It's just one of the wholesome things to have come out of Kevin's win, as viewers were also left touched by the moment when his former wife Karen was the first to hug him after he and Stacey were pronounced winners.
