Strictly Come Dancing: Leigh Francis reveals he has had multiple offers to do dance show

The Celebrity Juice star is a big fan of the show and says every time he is in the audience producers ask him to sign up.

Leigh Francis aka Keith Lemon has revealed he has been asked to compete in Strictly Come Dancing multiple times.

The Celebrity Juice star is a big fan of the BBC dance show and says every time he is in the audience producers ask him to sign up.

Francis, 50, told The Sun's TV Mag: "Every time I go to support a friend that’s doing it there will be a producer that creeps up at the side of me and says: ‘Do you fancy having a go?’ I have been asked for this series, but obviously I said no.

"It’s too hard and I’m too old to do hard things, I just want to do easy things. I want to enjoy myself and have a lovely time, I know that’s having my cake and eating it but I’m old enough to have my cake and eat.

"Strictly looks too hard and I wouldn’t want anyone to be affected by my beauty and fall victim to the curse and throwing themselves at me."

Francis was a close friend of the late Caroline Flack, who won the show in 2014.

Celebrity Juice panelist and Spice Girls star Emma Bunton came third in celebrity dance contest in 2006.

In 2009 Leigh Francis and friend Paddy McGuinness famously recreated the finale dance to The Time Of My Life from Dirty Dancing, with Francis dressed up as female lead Baby, for Let's Dance For Comic Relief.

The Bo' Selecta! star has just announced he will be embarking on his first ever live tour in March 2024.

Francis rose to fame with his late night alternative sketch show Bo' Selecta on Channel 4 in 2002. It ran over fives series until 2009 including a US spin-off.

He gained more mainstream success as Keith Lemon, hosting late night gameshow Celebrity Juice on ITV.

The show came to an end last year after 26 series.
