Yahoo News Strictly's Amy Dowden celebrates huge achievement
Strictly Come Dancing pro Amy Dowden has celebrated completing a 100km charity trek.
Along with I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here winner Giovanna Fletcher and Dragons' Den businesswoman Sara Davies, Dowden took part in the event on behalf of breast cancer awareness charity CoppaFeel! this week, having recently overcome her own diagnosis.
Posting a selfie from the finish line on Instagram Stories, her caption read: "Did it! So proud of everyone!"

CoppaFeel's own account went on to share a clip of the moment Dowden and her fellow trekkers arrived at the inflatable arch, where they were visibly emotional.
Dowden also suggested to talkshow host Lorraine Kelly live on ITV yesterday (June 13) that being exposed to CoppaFeel's work back in 2022 essentially saved her life, after she decided to start regularly checking for lumps.
"On reflection, it's been quite a week and I'm just so grateful for another shot at life," she smiled.

This week has been hugely satisfying for Dowden, with the professional dancer confirmed to be returning to the Strictly line-up this year.
"I'm so happy and grateful to be back on @bbcstrictly MY HEART IS SO HAPPY," she wrote on social media.
"The best team on and off the dance floor. I can't wait to be back doing what I love most in the world, dancing! Feel blessed and more excited than EVER. Bring it on! Strictly Come Dancing will return later this year on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
