Strictly Come Dancing's launch show is just over a week away, where we'll finally get to find out which celebrities are paired with which professional dancers for the 2023 competition.

After finishing as runner-up in last year's series, Fleur East is now serving as one of the co-hosts of BBC Two companion show Strictly: It Takes Two, which comes with the perk of getting to see rehearsals ahead of time.

On her Hits Radio Breakfast Show, Fleur teased that she thinks there may be some "dark horses" in this year's cast.

"Being part of the It Takes Two team means I've been behind the scenes [this week] for some access all areas backstage news and gossip," she said. "I have seen all the celebs and all the pros dancing together and I've witnessed a secret salsa!

"I've seen all the couples so I know who's coupled up, and there's not too much I can give away, but there are some amazing dancers and it's not the ones you're going to expect are amazing, it's the ones you're probably overlooking right now.

"There are a few dark horses, let me tell you that… when I saw them move, I thought those hips don't lie! There were people doing lifts you wouldn't expect to be doing lifts… it's going to be so good!"

The celebrity and professional pairings have seemingly been leaked online, much to the annoyance of Anton Du Beke.

"That irritates me. I get irritated. I hate anybody who's a spoiler," he said, adding: "I can only think they take great pleasure from it and I just want to say grow up. Don't spoil it for other people."

Strictly Come Dancing returns for its launch special on September 16 on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on BBC Two. Both shows also stream on BBC iPlayer.
