Strictly's Kevin Clifton wears platform heels ahead of musical return

Strictly Come Dancing's Kevin Clifton stepped out in platform heels over the weekend, ahead of his musical return.

The professional dancer has appeared in a few musicals before, and he'll soon be playing Hugo Battersby/Loco Chanelle in the upcoming UK tour of Everybody's Talking About Jamie.

Ahead of the touring show, Kevin stepped out in his heels at the WhatsOnStage Awards, stating on Instagram that he's trying to break them in.

"Everbody’s Talkin About … @jamiemusical," he wrote. "Gave my Loco Chanelle practice heels a run out this evening presenting Best Choreography award to @mattcoledance @whatsonstage awards @thelondonpalladium."

"Yes Kev!!!" wrote Strictly 2019 contestant Emma Barton, while fellow pro Kai Widdrington commented: "Slay."

Kevin and The X Factor winner Sam Bailey will be part of the show as it tours between March 25 and July 15, visiting places like Bristol, Glasgow, Milton Keynes and Leicester. Tickets are available here.

“I'm really excited to be joining the UK Tour of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie after being involved in the movie," Kevin said, back when his casting was announced.

"It's inspiring, uplifting and infectious and I can't wait to jump into Hugo/Loco Chanelle's heels across the country. I'm proud to be part of a show that carries such an important message and celebrates everyone for who they are."

Sam Bailey added: "I'm so excited to be joining the cast of Everybody's Talking About Jamie on tour! As an actress, it's just a dream to be playing an amazing role like Miss Hedge and to be part of a show that has such a heartfelt and positive message."
