Strictly's Tess Daly says 'thanks for the memories' in joint post with Vernon Kay

Tess Daly has shared a rare and sweet snap alongside her husband Vernon Kay after a family holiday in "paradise" over the Easter break. The Strictly Come Dancing host and BBC Radio Two presenter enjoyed a trip to the Caribbean and shared a string of snaps from their luxurious getaway.

Taking to Instagram, Tess told her 866K followers that "paradise can wait for now," as the family were heading back to "school runs and the radio," after some time off. Tess and Vernon tied the knot in 2003 and share two daughters.

Wearing all white and posing with their arms around one another to a beautiful beach backdrop, Tess wrote: "Paradise can wait for now, back to the school runs and the radio @vernonkay."

She added: "Thanks for the memories @destinologyholidays @edenroccapcana." Tess also showed off her holiday wardrobe in a handful of other snaps, including a picture of herself wearing a gold swimsuit and bikini coverup and a leopard print maxi.

The post was flooded with comments as one fan wrote: "Such a lovely couple, can't wait to see you back on TV with Strictly," while another added: "You both have the "Peter Pan Genes", neither of you look your age at all!! Gorgeous couple."

As a third commented: "Love you both, such a cracking couple!" and a fourth said: "It looks a beautiful place, hope you both had a great holiday! Great to have Vernon back on R2 today."

The getaway comes after Vernon slipped up on BBC Radio Two. The star was forced to apologise after a blunder left him in hysterics.

Vernon accidentally said: WIf you are going down to the burying of the time capsule then enjoy that little bit of p***."
