Student 'critical' after falling from sixth-floor window at Welsh halls of residence

A university student is in a critical condition after plummeting from a sixth-floor window at Swansea University's halls of residence. The incident occurred at the Penmaen living quarters on Singleton campus in the early hours of Sunday, April 14.

The victim, a 19 year old male, was rushed to hospital where he remains in a critical but stable state, according to South Wales Police. The police are continuing their investigations into the incident.

A representative for South Wales Police stated: "Officers attended Swansea University, Singleton Campus, in the early hours of Sunday, April 14, following reports of a man having fallen from a sixth-floor window. A 19-year-old man was conveyed to hospital, where he remains in a critical but stable condition, Wales Online reported.

A spokesperson for Swansea University added: "There is an ongoing police investigation following an incident on our Singleton campus. We are assisting the police and it would not be appropriate to say anything further at this time."
