The stunning lido just an hour's drive from Bristol
Just an hour's drive from Bristol, Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham is the perfect family day out this summer. Set in four acres of beautiful landscaped greenery, Sandford Parks is home to an Olympic-sized pool, as well as a smaller kids pool.
The main 50m pool is heated at 30 degrees Celsius and is used for family swimming, lane swimming, classes and training. The kids pool is shallow, heated at 32 degrees Celsius and has a popular splash slide.
Under-5s can swim free. Adult tickets cost £7.70 with family deals available and concessions for older children, students and 65+.

For those who want to visit more frequently, there are season tickets available to buy. The season runs between May 4 and October 11.
Sandford Parks Lido scores 4/5 on Tripadvisor. One recent reviewer described it as "probably Britain's best public pool."
However, other reviewers have warned that the Lido is strict on parking fines. Many Tripadvisor users have said they have received £100 parking fines for leaving late.
There is a car park on site for 150 cars. Parking is not included in the entrance fee and visitors must pay at the machine.
The cafe, Castaway Kitchen, is run by a Cotswolds family business. Breakfast and lunch menus include baps, hot dogs and poke bowls.
The lido opened in 1935 and is still enjoyed by many today. Sandford Park Lido have a commitment to sustainability and sell reusable drinks bottles and mugs, as well as going paperless with their tickets.
