The stunning restaurant Essex's 'most romantic' tucked away in the countryside

An Italian eatery once crowned the "most romantic place" to dine in Essex is tucked away in the countryside - and not many people know about it. The review platform TripAdvisor ranked Vita Bella as the top choice for romantic dining experiences in the county.

Located in The Tye, East Hanningfield, Vita Bella offers a wide array of Italian dishes, including vegetarian and vegan options. According to Tripadvisor, the price range varies from £5 to £30.

Out of the 2,618 reviews on Tripadvisor, an impressive 2,359 were rated as "excellent". Reviewers lauded the "outstanding" food and warm service, along with a "very pleasant" atmosphere.

On their website, Vita Bella states: "Based in the heart of East Hanningfield, close to Chelmsford in Essex, Vita Bella Italian Restaurant aims to provide guests with authentic Italian food within a friendly and inviting atmosphere."

"With a variety of Italian dishes available from our menus, we're confident you'll find something to savour. All our fresh produce is locally sourced, ensuring your dish will be exceptionally delicious.", reports Essex Live.

Established in East Hanningfield in 2012, the restaurant also prides itself on its "vast" wine list. One satisfied customer who visited for their anniversary in February wrote on Tripadvisor: "Visited to celebrate our anniversary, recommended by friends."

"Everything was perfect. Nice ambience, the staff were friendly and attentive but not too much. Huge choice on menu. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the wild boar ravioli, sea bass, lamb, cheesecake and apple tart. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and can't wait to go back! ".
