'Sudden death' of man confirmed after emergency services rushed to Guisborough street

Police have confirmed the sudden death of a man following an incident that saw emergency vehicles rush to a Guisborough street.

CSI, Cleveland Police, and Cleveland Fire Brigade attended Warwick Road following an incident in the early hours of Wednesday, June 26. Cleveland Police said at the time it was an "isolated" incident.

On Thursday, the force confirmed that officers attended a report of the sudden death of a man aged in his sixties around 5.40am. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.

Pictures taken on Wednesday show a Cleveland Fire Brigade engine and a line rescue vehicle in attendance alongside three police cars and a crime scene investigation van. Crime scene officers could be seen working in a terrace property and removing bags of evidence from the scene.

Two PCSOs were guarding the area as officers carried out enquiries. A fire service spokesperson confirmed: "Cleveland Fire Brigade were called on June 26 at 10.13am to deal with an incident on Warwick Road in Guisborough. One fire engine was in attendance from Coulby Newham. We got the stop message around 11.47am."
