Season 2 consisted of eight episodes, while Season 1 boasted just seven episodes.

Production on Season 3 is currently underway. Series stars Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno joined Han on stage Tuesday to share a bit about how filming is going.

“I’m really excited to see what comes next for all of us in the show itself, especially for Jeremiah and Belly’s final moments in Season 2,” Casalegno said.

Added Briney: “We’ve all been so close. It’s our third year, which is kind of crazy. I miss them a lot. We were away for a while…So it’s good to be back, reunited, where it all started.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty is a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.

Season 2 of the series is led by showrunners Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka. Han, Kucserka, Karen Rosenfelt, and Gabrielle Stanton serve as executive producers, along with Hope Hartman, Mads Hansen, and Paul Lee for wiip. The series is a co-production of Amazon Studios and wiip.
