Sunday Brunch host Simon Rimmer had a chance to dust off his dancing shoes on this morning's show as he and co-host Tim Lovejoy were enlisted to take part in a ballet lesson.

You know, as you do on a weekend cooking show – just ask Jason Priestly.

After a gorgeous solo performance from Birmingham Royal Ballet dancer Brandon Lawrence, the guest soon took Tim and Simon through their paces with a quick masterclass.

And, we have to say, both Tim and Simon were surprisingly good at this whole ballet thing, managing to plié, pirouette, jump and go through basic positions with relative ease, even in jeans – or, at the very least, they were very enthusiastic about getting involved.

Now, we all know that Sunday Brunch can be a bit of a random show at the best of times, but this segment quickly proved itself a hit among viewers – particularly because while Simon had six weeks to build up his dancing skills on Strictly, Tim proved to be a natural...

... er, kind of.

"Is this supposed to hurt?" Tim questioned, not two minutes into the masterclass. "This is hurting my thighs."

Still, it's not like he didn't know it was coming, as earlier this week Tim shared a screenshot of an email he and Simon had received from a producer warning them not to wear tight trousers this week, adding that they'd need to be "bendy".

"Who says TV Presenting isn't demanding?" Tim quipped.

Sunday Brunch continues on Channel 4 next Sunday (June 24).
