Sunday Brunch's Simon Rimmer shocks viewers after admitting one item he irons

Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer had viewers stunned after he admitted to ironing his bed sheets. The TV chef was discussing household chores on the Channel 4 show with co-host Tim Lovejoy and guests Adjoa Andoh, Cathy Newman, Mark Gardener, Andi Oliver, Les Dennis and Jax Jones.

As they started to discuss ironing, Tim told viewers: "Simon said before the show he likes ironing." But Simon went a step further, saying he loved it.

He said: "I love to iron a shirt." But as Tim pushed him on 'how far he goes', Simon admitted: "I do go bed sheets, but I can't do the fitted bed sheets - that's impossible."

One viewer wrote: "Hate ironing.... dont iron!! Who irons bedsheets, socks ? Lol." Tim also sparked a debate in the studio about dishwasher habits.

He said: "I saw a line the other day that you're not supposed to rinse your plates because the detergent is supposed to stick to it to clean the plates." But not everyone in the studio agreed.

Mark Gardener replied: "I always give it a good rinse because otherwise, I feel the next time you're eating off it, you're going to be eating detergent."

Tim insisted: "Yes but your wrong, the internet told me...it said don't rinse your plates. Obviously take the big bits off but the detergent has to stick to it." He then revealed another little known fact, adding: "They also said you don't need to put your little soapy thing, you know you put it in the container? You just lob it straight in. I didn't know that."

And Tim also said he had read a trick online that meant you never had to put your plates away. He said: "Two dishwashers that's what you need...you never have to put the plates away."
