Yahoo News Surrey's best nurseries named in Southeast's Top 20 where 'kids love being there'
Surrey’s best nurseries for kids have been named among the top 20 in the southeast of England for children aged up to five years of age. This is according to leading review site daynurseries.co.uk and based on factors such as outdoor spaces, facilities, and food and nutrition.
Parents and carers have taken to the site to praise warm and welcoming staff and environments at each of the sites with some claiming to have seen their child’s development flourish in their time at the nursery. Others have described the choice to send their children to the nurseries as the best decision and highlighted reassuring experiences.
The Farnham, Ash, and Caterham-based nurseries have been highlighted out of more than 2,300 early years setting in the Southeast. Reviews manager at daynurseries.co.uk, Amanda Hopkins, shared her congratulations and described the ranking as a huge achievement.

She said: “Our award is valuable recognition from parents and carers that [these nurseries are] offering their children an excellent standard of care and a stimulating environment.” Ms Hopkins concluded: “We hope these awards give parents that much-needed guidance in choosing the right nursery for their child.”
Toddletown Day Nursery Farnham was one of the Surrey settings to be named. Nursery manager, Sophie Lemon, reacted: “It feels incredible to have achieved such an amazing accomplishment after only being open for nine months. From the day we opened, we have had the most amazing times. From setting up the nursery to the endless laughter within the garden.
“Every day at Toddletown Day Nursery Farnham is full of amazing memories and great learning opportunities. It’s clear to see that the children really enjoy their time with us and each and every child is at the heart of all we do.”
Tots Village Nursery in Caterham posted online: “We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been named a top 20 day nursery in the Southeast of England. This award means the world to us and we couldn’t have done it without you, our amazing parents.

Friends Forest Nursery in Ash has a 10 out of 10 rating on daynurseries.co.uk based on nearly 100 reviews left in the past two years. It has been praised for its impressive, friendly, and welcoming staff as well as being the “best possible place to learn, have fun and make friends”.
One parent said her son settled in straight away and made a great bond with staff. They continued that their son looked forward to going to the nursery and described the experience as reassuring for parents and carers. Another agreed that staff help put nerves at ease.
Toddletown Day Nursery - Farnham

One parent claimed they saw a huge leap in their son’s development while attending and another described sending their child as “the best decision” they have made.
