Susanna Reid broke down on Good Morning Britain over the Manchester terror attack.

The presenter struggled to compose herself after interviewing Charlotte Campbell, a distraught mother whose 15-year-old daughter Olivia has been missing since the explosion, which killed 22 people including children last night (May 22).

"I cannot image the agony that..." the host said before pausing in a bid to stop herself crying. "I cannot imagine what parents are going through this morning."

Susanna then had to stop again as she started shedding tears.

Producers then cut to a photograph of Olivia, whose phone has been off since the incident at the Ariana Grande concert.

"It doesn't help anybody if I get upset," Susanna continued. "You don't have to be a parent to imagine what people must be going through this morning."

Kate Garraway could then be heard off camera trying to comfort the presenter.

Devastated mother Charlotte has been trying to reach her daughter since news broke of the terror attack last night.

Olivia attended the concert with a friend, however, they got separated after the explosion. The friend is now in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.

When asked by Piers how her daughter's friend was doing, Charlotte said: "I don't want to say too much because I don't know how much his parents want me to say. He is very poorly but he's safe."

Charlotte has been advised by police to stay at home in case her daughter comes back while others have been searching local hospitals, stadiums, hotels and arenas looking for the teenager.

Opening up about the man who caused the tragedy by detonating an explosive device, Charlotte said: "It's disgusting. It wasn't adults he was targeting, it was children. They've not lived their lives."

As of yet, Olivia has not been registered at any hospitals.
