Susanna Reid says she's 'perfectly happy with my own company'

Susanna Reid has said she is "perfectly happy with my own company".

The Good Morning Britain presenter was last publicly in a relationship with businessman and Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish in 2018 and 2019.

Talking to The Sunday Times Magazine about her daily routine, Reid said: "I'm perfectly happy with my own company — I talk to people all day, I have a terrific team and I love my close-knit family.

"When the boys leave home, I know that's going to be challenging."

Reid also revealed how she likes to relax in the evenings, saying: "In the evening I like gentle TV, nothing gruesome. A bath is a must, it completely de-stresses me. On a good night I switch the lights off at 10pm and I'm asleep within minutes."

Reid was previously in a relationship with sports reporter Dominic Cotton for 16 years. They have three sons together – Sam, 20, Finn, 18, and Jack, 17.

The broadcaster has previously said that she will never marry for "personal reasons" and discussed the taboo of having children out of wedlock: "It was a personal choice. It's a bit of an old-fashioned idea that children are 'illegitimate' if you're not married.

"Children are legitimate, whether you're married or not!"

Reid also admitted it had never been her ambition to be married.

Last year, Reid announced her support for an anti-crime scheme and revealed that she had been mugged at knife point 25 years ago.

She said the attack left her with "a knife slash across my body, through my clothes and through my bag" but she was otherwise unhurt in the robbery.
