Swedish deputy Prime Minister appears to troll Donald Trump by 'copying' his controversial executive order photo

There was widespread uproar when a photograph of Donald Trump signing off an executive order about women's reproductive rights, while he was surrounded by men, made the rounds online.

Now, it appears Sweden's deputy Prime Minister has mirrored the picture, surrounding herself with female colleagues as she signed the proposal for Sweden's new climate law.

Many online have noticed the similarity to the controversial executive order picture.

"Wonderful image. I hope you sent it to the man on the other side of the ocean," wrote one supporter on the official Facebook page.

The deputy Prime Minister has refused to say whether she mirrored Donald Trump in the photograph.

She told The Local: "We are a feminist government, which shows in this photo. Ultimately it is up to the observer to interpret the photo."

The Donald Trump photograph made the rounds in France, too, and French feminist group 52 posted a fake article on Facebook.

The gist of the article was that Hillary Clinton had become president and signed off an executive order about male reproductive rights while surrounded by men.

“It’s a joke,” a 52 member named Sophie told BuzzFeed, “to ridicule something that boggles the mind: For centuries, it’s been men who dictate women’s bodies.”

“Women are told what they should wear, what salary they’re entitled to… Trump has only just become president, and the first thing he does is take a step backward by signing this piece of legislation.”
