Sydney Man Charged With Child Sex Offences

Sydney’s Strike Force Trawler operation against child exploitation arrested a 55-year-old man at Westmead on November 14 after he allegedly tried to meet a 14-year-old boy online for sex.

“Police will allege in court the man believed he was speaking to a 14-year-old boy and engaged in sexually explicit conversations with the child and made arrangements to meet in person,” NSW police said.

Police searched a home at Beverly Hills, where they seized computers and electronic storage devices. The man was then taken to Parramatta police station, where he was refused bail and will front court on the charge of “use carriage service to procure persons under 16 years for sexual activity.” Credit: NSW Police Force via Storyful
