Although the Rocky star has starred in TV shows before and presented challenge series, this is his first major starring role in a TV drama.

He plays New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, recently released from prison after a 25-year stretch.

But rather than being welcomed back with open arms by his mob boss, Dwight finds himself exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma to apparently run operations from the new outpost.

He soon discovers that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind and that the life he "married" might not be as committed to him - with the trailer showing Dwight struggling to adjust to his newfound freedom, and his new home town.

Tulsa King follows his attempts to build a new criminal empire in a city that is completely alien to him, trying to find people he can trust to help him in his new venture.
