SZA Set to Perform at 2024 Grammy Awards After Leading Nominations with 9 Nods

Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa and Billie Eilish are also slated to take the Grammys stage on Sunday, Feb. 4

Don’t snooze and miss the moment — SZA is performing at the Grammy Awards!

The 34-year-old R&B star — who tops the list of nominees this year with nine nods — will take the stage at the Feb. 4 award ceremony, the Grammys announced on Monday.

The “All the Stars” singer joins the already stacked list of performers, including Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Burna Boy, Olivia Rodrigo and U2.

Also slated to perform at the ceremony is SZA’s “Love Galore” collaborator Travis Scott, as well as legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, who is taking the Grammys stage for the very first time.

SZA has racked up nine Grammy nominations this year, making her the most-nominated artist at the ceremony.

Her sophomore album SOS — which spent 10 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 — is up for both progressive R&B album and album of the year.

SOS hit “Kill Bill” is nominated for song of the year, best R&B performance and record of the year, while tracks “Snooze,” “Love Language” and “Low” also earned nods for best R&B song, best traditional R&B performance and best melodic rap performance, respectively.

The hitmaker is also up for best pop duo/group performance with Phoebe Bridgers for their haunting SOS duet “Ghost in the Machine.”

The “Good Days” singer’s 2024 nods take her total career Grammy nominations to 24, with one win in 2022 for best pop duo/group performance, which she and Doja Cat clinched for track “Kiss Me More.”

Last month, SZA sat down for an Apple Music Radio interview with Zane Lowe to reflect on her whirlwind year, admitting that she has already fulfilled most of her career and creative goals.

“I don’t have any more goals, and that sounds terrible, but career-wise … I keep saying that — nobody believes me — but it’s just like, you don’t understand. These are my goals,” she told Lowe, and went on to list the goals she has already accomplished.

“I have already gone platinum. I didn’t think I would ever go platinum. I sold a bunch of records. I got to meet Stevie Wonder, I got to meet Beyoncé and work with her, I got to meet Frank Ocean. My mom came and my dad came to all these cool countries to see me perform. I’ve had sold out shows, I got to headline a festival,” she said.

SZA continued, “Like, what else do I want? I’m nominated for Grammys. I’ve won a Grammy. I’m done, for me, personally.”

"Anything past this is so much more than I wanted, thought of, dreamed of,” she added.

The 66th annual Grammy Awards will air on CBS and Paramount+ on Feb 4. It will be held live at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
