Is Taboo getting a series 2 with Tom Hardy?
If there's one thing we felt after watching the final episode of Taboo at the weekend, it's that we want another series - and that HAS to include Tom Hardy.
Fortunately, it seems that the creators are definitely eyeing up a second series - and even a third - but nothing's been confirmed yet with the BBC.
Writer and creator Steven Knight previously told the Radio Times that he expects at least two more series and has planned everything out.
"We think it has got a two and a three certainly, that's the plan," he said. "After that, who knows? This series is eight parts - it's a lot of time."
So, a second series looks likely, but fans are determined that Hardy has to return after his ferocious performance.
AN OPEN LETTER TO TOM HARDY:
Mr. Hardy,
If there is no S2 of Taboo, we are over.

I have never seen an actor dominate a show like Tom Hardy in taboo. I really haven't. It seriously is spectacular how well it does.

I wasn't sure at first about #Taboo but Tom Hardy is mesmerising! And hot as a hot thing from planet Scorchio. Not that it matters...

There wouldn't be a Taboo if it wasn't for Hardy's character, James Keziah Delaney, as pretty much every moment of it revolved around him.
Having said that, the first series did end with James leaving England behind, so there is scope for a new series without him, if you can imagine such a thing.
And there definitely wouldn't be as much nudity...
The eight-episode series boasted an impressive cast that included Jonathan Pryce, Oona Chaplin, David Hayman, Jessie Buckley, Ashley Walters and Jefferson Hall.
