Tamworth Currys iPhone shoplift appeal after Ventura Retail Park raid

CCTV images of two men suspected of stealing an iPhone at a Tamworth retail park have been issued by police. The appeal was issued after raiders grabbed a top-of-the-range iPhone 15 Pro Max, worth more than £2,000, and fled the Currys PC World store at Ventura Park at around 5pm on Tuesday, April 2.

The raiders were believed to have jumped in a taxi and headed to Birmingham before being dropped off near Aston University. Staffordshire Police appealed for help to trace two men who may have information.

Both were described as black and around 6ft tall. One had dreadlocks and wore jeans. The other wore a dark jacket, a woolly hat and white trainers.

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “We have released CCTV images of two men we’d like to speak to after an iPhone was taken from a shop in Tamworth. Officers were called to Currys PC World at Ventura Retail Park, just before 5pm on Tuesday April 2.

“Both men asked to see an iPhone 15 Pro Max, worth more than £2,000, before grabbing it and leaving the store without paying. We think both men got in a taxi shortly after the theft and were dropped off in Birmingham near Aston University.
