Taylor Swift came to the rescue of some fans who were having a tough time in the crowd during her concert in Cardiff. The pop sensation's Eras Tour made its much-anticipated stop in the Welsh capital on Tuesday, June 18, with nearly 70,000 fans flocking to the Principality Stadium for the gig.

However, several fans fell ill during the performance, prompting Taylor to alert security and stewards to provide assistance. During an acoustic segment where she typically performs two surprise songs not included in the setlist, she altered a lyric to say she wouldn't continue until a struggling fan received help.

Throughout the show, she repeatedly signalled to security staff to assist individuals she noticed having difficulties in the crowd, ensuring they were safely removed from the throng of people. Staff members were seen distributing water to some standing audience members who felt faint during the lengthy three-hour performance.

The Eras tour only stopped in Cardiff for one night, unlike other cities on Taylor's UK tour. Some die-hard fans hoping to get as close as possible to the star started camping out near the gates early on Tuesday morning. By the time the gates opened at 4pm, hundreds of fans had been queuing for over 12 hours, reports Wales Online.

Despite the long wait, Swifties were rewarded with a setlist of over 40 songs as Taylor delivered hit after hit during the show, tagging on a few special Welsh treats to boot. One moment that stood out was during Taylor's performance of 'Champagne Problems.' The audience response was so immense that it even shocked the artist herself.

Caught in surprise, she uttered "Oh my God" on the big screen and removed her earpiece in disbelief at the roar from the crowd mouthing, "What? ! " Once she reinserted her earpiece, she addressed her fans: "This crowd in Cardiff is one for the books. This is different - you're another level! I love you so much, thank you for that. You're just so beautiful - you're so generous to us."

An estimated 70,000 ticket-holders filled up the stadium for Taylor's single-night spectacular in Wales. Some hardcore fans who didn't score tickets opted to settle outside the arena to listen in.

The Eras Tour is heading to London's Wembley Stadium this week, kicking off on June 21, 22 and 23 and returning on August 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20.
